Dress code for a unique atmosphere

Dress code

The Düsseldorf Oktoberfest thrives on its unique atmosphere, which is characterized by the festively decorated tent, Bavarian music, top-class artists and, above all, the guests. To emphasize the authentic atmosphere of an Oktoberfest, traditional dress is an important part of the event.

We would like to expressly invite you to dress appropriately for the theme. Traditional costumes such as dirndls, lederhosen and traditional shirts are not compulsory, but are worn by most guests. Those who come without appropriate clothing may feel uncomfortable, as the vast majority of visitors are dressed traditionally and this contributes to the special atmosphere.

Recommended clothing:

  • Traditional costumes such as dirndls, lederhosen, traditional shirts or blouses.
  • T-shirts are only suitable in combination with leather trousers.

Unsuitable clothing:

  • Office outfits, especially checked office shirts.
  • Lumberjack shirts.
  • T-shirts with slogans of any kind.
  • Carnival costumes or similar disguises.

Further information:

  • Guests who appear in inappropriate clothing may feel out of place.
  • The final decision on admission lies with the staff on site.
